Me + Bridget
June 29, 2007
Bridget, who does a fabulous job on makeup for my boudoir clients, needed some head shots. We exchanged services and she was so kind as to take some shots of me.
Grandpa
June 20, 2007
I spent the weekend at my grandparent’s house to celebrate my grandfather’s 80th birthday. As my grandparents get older, birthdays begin to take on more significance. When we were young, we celebrated our birthdays because we were approaching adulthood. As we get older we gather our oldest friends and closest family because it may be the last time everyone is all together.
This year is especially significant for my grandfather because he’s sick. Cancer that was long in remission has come back. So I took this opportunity to take hundreds of photos of my family because it is undoubtedly one of the last few times we’ll all be together. I subjected my family to every possible combination of people to the point where my brother reverted to 5-year-old behavior. The only one who didn’t complain a bit was grandpa, who was happy to have me shooting away.
As is very much obvious from my blog, I love photography. For me it means making people feel good, capturing fleeting moments, searching for someone’s essence, and capturing memories. I’m so lucky to have found it.

When you’re young and in love you hold hands because it feels good.
When you’re old and in love you hold hands to support each other.

My brother, sister, and I with my grandparents.

My favorite time to snap a photo is right before people think I’m going to
(technique also used here and here), which results in a semi-candid, semi-posed photo.
Another June wedding!
June 17, 2007
June has been a very busy month! Here are some of my favorites from a wedding I worked with Ali Rosa. It was uncharacteristically cold on this day, but the wedding party braved the cold and still took their formals outdoors.
I have a variety of shoots next weekend – corporate, a baby, and boudoir – so many more posts to come soon.

Here are a few shots from a wedding I worked with Ali Rosa. There are many more photos from this wedding to come, but I was eager to get a few of my favorites up! Full gallery coming soon.
Weddings

I’ve been asked again and again if I do weddings. I can now proudly say yes! I’m working with wedding photographer Ali Rosa this year as a second shooter. I’ve shot three weddings already and have a bunch more lined up this summer. I will post my favorite shots after ever wedding, so check back often! Here are some shots from a Greek wedding (yes, it was big and fun and fabulous!). Watch for a complete wedding portfolio and packages later this summer.
The studio is christened!
June 7, 2007
It was so exciting to shoot my first client in my new studio space. She let me experiment with some new shots and setups – our session lasted almost two and a half hours. Both Jenn and Bridget were on hand to provide their makeup and styling expertise.
She had her hair done at Leeba, a salon right down the street from the studio. A great choice for those of you ladies looking to have your hair done beforehand.
Here are a few shots…
On top of the hub

My little brother landed a law internship at Ropes & Gray in Boston. The whole Robotti clan came up for a visit and he gave us a tour of the office. The offices were everything I expected a prestigous law firm to be – sweeping water views, secretaries working on Sunday, and Ropes & Gray-branded planters.
He then treated us to a steak dinner at Abe & Louis. I took my camera to dinner too, but was too busy savoring my merlot, bread, salad, filet mignon, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and finally key lime pie to take it out of my bag. I’m still in a partial food coma.
