Lovely lady

July 26, 2007

I’ve been elbow deep in photo editing and just found the time to put a few photos up from one of last weekend’s boudoir sessions. The afternoon light in the studio that day was just exquisite (as was my client).

You guessed it!

Another outtake from a boudoir session. I had such a great time working with this client – she just beams with excitement in her photos. One of my favorite parts of these shoots is getting to know my clients. For those of you out there who aren’t married, she is proof that Internet dating works. She and several of her friends met their husbands-to-be online!

I won’t be taking any more boudoir clients in September. I can’t believe the interest in boudoir – I think it’s fantastic! I do wish I had time for everyone! I have availability beginning in October and beyond. Keep in mind the boudoir books not only make great wedding gifts, but also are great for anniversaries, birthdays, and the holidays!

I’m glad you asked! Typically it takes about 3 weeks for me to edit the photos and finish your proofs. I usually have several jobs I’m working on at once. If you choose package 3, which includes the book, it takes about 5 weeks start to finish. I’ve on occassion tried to accommodate brides-to-be on a tighter schedule, but am finding it difficult to turn things around any quicker and still get a good night’s sleep! So, if you haven’t booked yet, please keep in mind that you should book at least 5 weeks before your wedding day. :)

I’ve had many clients inquire about how many photos they get from a boudoir session. You will get approximately 40 final edited photos to choose from. I experiment with different settings, poses, and looks to ensure I get the best shot. After the shoot is over I edit out anything blurry, closed eyes, awkard moments, etc. I then select the best from each pose and outfit. I edit each photo to make sure you’re looking your very best. The editing process takes me several hours. I then provide you with a black & white and color version of the edited photos.

Basically, I aim for quality over quantity. You will find that almost all wedding photographers work this way too; they will take thousands on your wedding day and then edit down to the best 400-600.

How many do you get to put in the book? Every photo in your proofs, if you want. I recommend at least 15 photos.

July + August booked

July 13, 2007

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am booked solid with boudoir shoots for July and August. I want to make sure everyone gets my full time and attention so I won’t be taking any more until September. If you’re interested in September, book soon!

It’s B-pic season!

July 9, 2007

If you follow my blog, you know that my boudoir business has skyrocketed as of late. This weekend marks the start of a long, long, long string of boudoir shoots. I’m really excited to get the chance to work with so many women. I love being part of making women feel good about themselves.

Am I all booked up, you ask? No, not entirely, but I am getting there (one woman can only handle so much!), so if you’re interested in a July or August shoot, contact me soon. Have a group of you that are interested? Great, the more the merrier. In fact, if there are 5 or more of you, I’ll knock 15% off my boudoir packages.

So, onto some photos, because I know you’re interested! :) Here are a few of my favorites from Saturday’s shoot.

4th of July

July 6, 2007

So, if you haven’t already, you should definitely rent a canoe to take out on the Charles River to watch the fireworks. Best view, hands down. I and seven of my friends spent a very rainy 5 + hours on the river. Though quite soggy by the time the fireworks went off, it was totally worth it. Here are a few of my favorite shots. And if that’s not enough, here are my 4th of July photos from last year, taken from the shore.

Hey baby!

July 5, 2007

I had a blast photographing 7-month-old Jack a couple weeks ago at the Arnold Arboretum. His many expressions and those big baby blues were priceless.
