If you’ve never visited the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, you’re truly missing out. It’s one of my favorite places to go for a walk and, of course, take photos. I’m planning a special spring portrait session for Saturday, May 24 (rain date May 26). Lilacs should be in full bloom, a perfect setting for spring portraits! Come with your family, children, boyfriend, girlfriend, pet, or maybe just yourself! Contact me to reserve your spot!

Due to very high demand, I’ve decided to up the August 16 + 17 group session to 10 women. There are 4 spots remaining. E-mail me to reserve your spot!

Boudoir sessions have quickly filled up my summer calendar! I have the following spring and summer dates still available. I have more availability beginning in September. I will update this post as the spots are filled.

May 17 + 18 (group session – 2 spots available)
August 10 – 1 p.m.
August 16 + 17 (group session – 4 spots available)
August 31 – 10 a.m.

Great light!

March 4, 2008

I experimented a lot with light this weekend. A variety of muted natural light, direct sunlight, off-camera flash, and strategically placed reflectors allows for a lot of fun effects. Here’s a look.

I love them both! Polka dots have a classic pinup girl look, which I love, especially in my red room. And red nail polish is a nice finishing touch. Here are a few shots from one of two boudoir sessions this weekend.

Home decorating

February 27, 2008

After three months of being in my new home, I decided it was time to get some of my photography up on my walls! I had a great time revisiting some old trips and photos. Here are some of my favorites…

Cakes + Shoes

February 26, 2008

Another wedding with Ali from about a month ago at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. This bride loved her cake and shoes, and I think you’ll see why.

Man stance

February 25, 2008

As a photographer, I’m constantly observing people’s behaviors and emotions so I can predict when to click the shutter. Facts: men always stand or sit identically in a line. I’m going to call this man stance. Other facts:  grandparents really enjoy themselves when they dance and kids are hilarious, especially when asked to stand still for a photo. These moments and more at a recent wedding…

More Wedding Fun!

February 22, 2008

The niece of the bride was perhaps the most entertaining child I’ve photographed to date. She was the first I’ve ever seen lay down next to the couple during the ceremony. I was thrilled to capture it all. I’m sure these photos will surface when she gets older – perhaps at her own wedding!

Boudoir season commences…

February 19, 2008

…but did the season ever really stop? In the past year, I haven’t had one single month go by without a boudoir session. Winter was slower than the summer and the fall (it takes a hearty soul to disrobe in the cold!), but it’s back at full throttle. Here are a few favorites from the first of a string of upcoming boudoir sessions.
